DJ Divine To describe this DJ entrepreneur only one word comes to mind extraordinaire.
Profile 33-year-old DJ Divine is truly doing it with all his might! DJ Divine has been DJing for 17 years. For many in the industry, he is considered a veteran, for his passion, and unique style of playing edgy, urban Gospel music. 1993 saw DJ Divine confess his sins and begin his life again as a born again Christian (hallelujah). Having a passion for music, DJ Divine decided to form a Gospel sound system called Divine Influence. The sound consisted of five members (including Isaiah Raymond Dyer front man for Raymond & Co) this would be the beginning of a new era for the UK Gospel club scene. DJ Divine an early pioneer, was one of the original London based Gospel DJ’s to re-produce Gospel remixes. Using popular instrumentals & well-known artist’s like Kirk Franklin and Dawkins & Dawkins. DJ Divine found himself attracting both the young and the old. A self-taught DJ, Divine’s first gig was at a house party in East London, whereby he developed a reputation and a loyal fan base. This led to him playing host to cities across the UK, notably, Birmingham, Bristol, Wales, Manchester, Nottingham, Ireland & Holland. In the summer of 1996 DJ Divine married his sweetheart Lisa Nicole Allen (also a member of UK’s leading gospel group Raymond & Co.) They went on to have four beautiful children and three goldfish (now deceased). DJ Divine’s hobbies and interests include music production, street ministry, graphic design, photography, swimming and male grooming (ok barbering). |
