Kool J

Kool J aka Jermaine Julie, brings joy to people through mixing and blending uplifting music. Playing a range of music with a positive vibe from R’n’B, Hip Hop, Garage, Dancehall, Funky House to classic party tunes and 70s and 80s disco tunes.

Kool J has always had a love and passion for music and entertaining people, in his past life Kool J was a well known Host and DJ in the UK and abroad on the secular scene. He always knew there was more to life and coming from a strong Christian background he knew the right way but got lost in the excitement ‘of the world’. Finally in 2007 Kool J decided to give up the fight and stop hardening his heart to the call of God he was hearing and surrendered his life and he has not looked back. In 2008 Kool J married his partner Aysha and they have a little girl, Zakiya. He enjoys swimming, playing Scrabble, badminton, table tennis and jogging.

Kool J has been with DJ ministry since its inception, as the nephew of founder DJ Divine, Kool J often followed his Uncle to gigs and played and entertained. He has DJed at parties and clubs and has played at some of the UK’s hottest venues. He has entertained the young and the old, doing children’s parties, weddings, Christenings, conferences and concerts.

Kool J’s talents also extend to presenting on TV and radio. As an actor he has appeared in commercials and starred in a number of theatre productions.

Always one to give back to the community, Kool J works with young people as a youth worker, mentor and teacher teaching DJing, drama, organising conferences and events and producing podcasts.
